Since the beginning of 1900, at an altitude of 1.400 meters on Col Di Lana, the fort of Forte Ruaz represented an important part of the big defense system of the Italian border.

At present it is possible to visit part of the Fortwhich has been turned into a restaurant, connected to a hotel by a secret passage.
