LAKE FEDÈRA

 

 

Lake Fedèra (also known as “da Lago” lake too) is a typical of the high altitudine Dolomites which lies within the territory of  Cortina d’Ampezzo, in the province of Belluno.

Its name seems to come fromthe name "feda", that means "sheeps" in the local dialect.

Even though it is whithout tributaries or outflowing rivers, the level of the lake remains unvaried all year round, thanks to subterranean sources.
